Charms Lesson 9 Year 1: Finals and Review

In the classroom you see Professor Sterling writing on the chalkboard. There are about 10 or more desks on the right side of the room, and about 10 or more desks on the left. There was a walkway in the middle of the room. “Year 1 lesson 9, finals and reviews'' she wrote on the board. Then she takes a seat at her desk. She smiles and gets papers out as her students walk into the class.

Introduction

Hello students! Today will be our last time seeing each other until next year! Today, we will be going over some spells, and you are going to take your end of the term test. This test will have questions that I taught you in your previous lessons. But, before we do that, we will be going over some spells, but we won’t go over all of them as we went through them, last class.

Three Quick Spells

The Wand Lighting Charm: Now we will be going over the wand lighting charm. This one should be easy for you. Remember to do the swirl, and of course, you must say Lumos!

The Wand Extinguishing Charm: Now we are going to go over the spell to make the light go out! Everyone says Nox! And this time, I want you to do the wand movement. Let's see if you remember.

Wingardium Leviosa: This spell is the levitation charm, Wingardium Leviosa! Again, I want you to figure out the wand movement, sorry, but along with a quick revision, I want you to think & revise too.

Looking into Year 2 Charms

Now I will be talking to you about Year 2 Charms class and what will be coming up so you’ll be ready. First, let’s talk about what will be different with the rules. I won’t tell you the exact rules though, just what will be different about them. But remember, Year 2 will be more theory-heavy, which will be loaded with different theories.

About the Rules

You will have the same rules that you must follow, but I might add more because you will do more things, so for your safety, we might add more rules of what you may do, or not do. But one thing is sure, we’ll have fun!

Lesson Plans

The Lesson Plan will, of course, be different. Sense the next time I see you, you will be older, we will be doing more fun things together. Such as practicing a duel. We will also be learning more spells, these spells will be harder to cast, and probably a spell that you would use more often.

Assignments

The assignments will be like usual, Quizzes you must take, and essays are optional. But, not in all classes, you will have an extra credit essay. Also, in some classes, it will be more important for you to take the essay, so the quiz will be extra credit.

Before I ask all of you to attempt the test, I need to inform you that you shall be having a project to do at the end of the charms class. It is highly recommended, but optional. It will earn you 40 house points.

The Test

Be courageous, do not lose hope, do not cheat, do the test without any open HIM tabs of lessons. If you have them open, or try to cheat, then the staff will know and they will warn you and bestow a 0 on your examination, and you will get a serious warning.

Closing

Oh my! Look at the time! It looks like we will have to end our lesson today. I’ll be excited to see you in your second year here! Soon, me, Professor Sterling will check your grade on the test. This test, unlike the others, is for 40 points, so if you get all the questions correct, you will earn 40 points for your house! You will of course not have homework to do, but remember to keep studying! Bye, everyone! Class Dismissed.
