Charms Lesson 6 Year 1 : Sticking and Mending Charms

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Charms Class. I'm Professor Sterling, as all of you know, I will be taking your charms class today.

So, this lesson we will be learning two charms ; Sticking and Mending charm. Get ready to do so.

The Sticking Charm

The Sticking Charm is used to make two surfaces stick to each other, though it is not permanent. For example, you could use it to stick posters and notes to the wall in a useful way. Some people use it for pranks, such as sticking two important documents and more. The ideas of using it wrongly does not stop at a limit. It can't be used on living animals, of course. It was found in 100 B.C.E in Rome. Some backfires may include a spell failure, the wrong objects being stuck, or the caster getting stuck to a surface.

  • Incantation: Astrictus

  • Pronunciation: Ast-REC-toose

  • Wand Movement: A infinity circle on the two objects to be stuck

  • Willpower: Low

  • Concentration: None

The Mending Charm

The Mending Charm is a charm which is capable of mending different things. Please do not try to mend a human's wound with it, as that may lead to a very serious injury. The charm was invented by Orabella Nuttely, in 1723 or in the later periods to mend a muggle building, the Hardon Castle ; the castle of King George Kiwis II, thus being called a haunted castle by the muggles. You can't use the charm on animate objects. If you try, it may lead to scarring.

  • Incantation: Reparo

  • Pronunciation: Reh-Pah-RO

  • Wand Movement: A quick swash over the object

  • Willpower: Low

  • Concentration: Low to Very High

So, today, you did a great job casting it. Keep practising it, and I'm sure you'll be perfect.

For today, you will only be having a quiz to ace for. Good luck!
